Evolution of the Visual Guard data model
Propagating Roles to sub-groups
In the default Visual Guard data model:
- Permissions are grouped into roles
- Roles are granted to groups and users
Up to VG 2017, when a role was granted to a group, it was always propagated to all sub-groups.
With VG 2018, role propagation is optional:
- By default, a role is automatically propagated to its sub-groups.
- You can disable this propagation by editing the role/group relationship, in the details page of the parent group.
