Visual Guard is a modular
solution, comprised of the following components:
VG Run-time
- VG Run-time applies the security rules to applications in production.
- It provides the access control functionalities (authentication, permissions…)
- It is composed of several PBL that are compiled with your applications.
VG PB Console

- Developers use it to define access rights to their applications.
To do this, they declare applications, permissions, permission
sets and roles.
- Administrators use it to manage Identity and roles.
- It also includes the Permission Editor, to define dynamic permissions.
- Includes a utility that creates a repository and supports for
most DBMS on the Market (Oracle, Sybase ASE, SQL Server, Informix…)

VG Repository
- The VG repository is a database that stores the security data (users,
permissions, roles…)
VG Debugger
- The debugger lets developers monitor the execution of the permissions
when the application is running.
