Parameters

username
Type: SystemString
The user name to add to the specified roles.
roleNames
Type: SystemString
A string array of roles to add the specified user name to.
Exceptions
ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullExceptionroleNames or one of the roles is null.

roleNames contains a duplicate element.

username is null.
ArgumentExceptionOne of the roles in roleNames is an empty string or is longer than 64 characters or contains invalid chars ('\', '/', '?', '*', '%', ';', ''', '"', ':', '|', '[', ']', '+', '=', ',').

username is an empty string or is longer than 64 characters.

roleNames contains a duplicate element.
SecurityExceptionThe current user does not have enough privileges to use Membership API. The Membership access level of the application must be sufficient to allows this action or the 'Membership Manager' role must be granted to the user by using the Visual Guard console.
