Adds a user specified by repository id to the specified roles.

Parameters

userId
Type: SystemString
The repository id of the user to add to the specified role.
roleIds
Type: SystemGuid
An array of Guid identifying the roles to add the specified user to.
applicationId
Type: SystemGuid
The code of the application where you can find the specified roles.

ArgumentNullExceptionroleIds is null.

applicationId is null.
ArgumentExceptionOne of the roles was not found in the repository for the application.

roleIds contains a duplicate element.

userIds was not found in the repository.

applicationId was not found in the repository.
SecurityExceptionThe current user has not enough privileges to use Membership API. The Membership access level of the application must be sufficient to allows this action or the 'Membership Manager' role must be granted to the user by using the Visual Guard console.
