Gets a list of the roles that a Visual Guard user is in.

Parameters

username
Type: System..::..String
The user to return a list of roles for.

Return Value

Type: array<String>[]()[][]
A string array containing the names of all the roles that the specified user is in.

Remarks

For application supporting more than one Authentication mode, this method will look an account with the same name in the following order: Visual Guard account, Database account, Windows account.

The method will only look for supported authentication modes declared in the Visual Guard configuration file.

If you to look in other order of the order specofy bellow, you have to use the method GetRolesForUser(String, VGAuthenticationMode)

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
System..::..ArgumentExceptionusername is empty or longer than 64 characters or contains invalid chars ('\', '/', '?', '*', '%', ';', ''', '"', ':', '|', '[', ']', '+', '=', ',') for Visual Guard account.

username cannot be converted to SID for Windows Account.

a user with a name equals to username was not found in the repository.
System..::..ArgumentNullExceptionusername is null.
System.Security..::..SecurityExceptionThe current user does not have enough privileges to use Membership API. The Membership access level of the application must be sufficient to allows this action or the 'Membership Manager' role must be granted to the user by using the Visual Guard console.
